DC Sunshine

Matt has family in Fairfax near DC, and his grandma and sister were there visiting so

we headed down on Friday night for a quick weekend trip. It was really worth it since the cuz was there too! Yippee! I went into the city on the Metro on Saturday afternoon and met up with my cuz and her cuz, whom I hadn't met yet so it was fun! We walked around and did the sightseeing thing, kinda.

We weren't really sightseeing, more just hanging out and walking around on the beautiful day- it was soooo beautiful and warm at 53*! But in DC you can't NOT see sights...

Uh, hello! It IS Washington DC!

It was just what I needed. A city fix, a sunshine fix and a day with a best friend!
We walked until our feet pretty much gave out, which was perfect since we made it to the Lincoln Memorial at sunset. We sat on the steps and watched the light change.

Perfect.
