Byrne and Eno

Last Saturday night was our last Chastain concert with none other than the extraordinary David Byrne! Considering that he has not marketed his new album other than on his website we weren't sure what the crowd would be like. Turned out most people in our immediate area seemed to know the songs and were very enthusiastic fans! Being the end of the Chastain concert season here in Atlanta, patrons of this venue were ready to PARTY! Party they did too, please try to ignore the chick bent over behind our heads- she was getting something out of the giant cooler they brought.

Am I getting older now that I'm not the crazy chick up dancin like a fool and screamin through the whole show? These days I just want to sit back and enjoy the show. I still hoot and holler and have a great time. But it's really more about appreciating that I'm there seeing the artists, not just that OH MY GOD I'M AT A CONCERT!!!

We ended up moving seats, jumping ahead a few rows to get away from a crazy chick and her super freak tall boyfriend. From the very first song she was up dancing wildly- even through the slow songs she never changed her beat. It was definitely her own beat too! Matt leaned over to me at the second song- 'Is that how they were dancing at Chris' high school reunion?'

No, I replied, she is much worse!

**We have several shows coming up to complete our Atlanta Concert Experience:

Joan Osborne

Martin Sexton

Ben Kweller

Jason Mraz (maybe, tickets not purchased)

Also I'm planning on seeing my first musical - WICKED - at the Fox with the cuz....

I had to giggle on this one not being the crazy chick up dancing any more. I just went to an Elvis show in Branson. They had some wild "Old" hens there that were really wild. of course Elvis like it (and they got the sweaty scarf) but I could not bring myself "any more" to be that wild (no wine) I did set back and enjoy the show. and I did hoot and clap. He put on a great show but had a wonderful voice all on its own .
How we grow up (you) and grow old (me) Keep enjoying your life.I love u..
