Busy Doing Nothing Just Working the Whole Day Through
I can't believe it's been so long between posts since I've been here in the northeast. I know I've been making it out to be all boring and quiet....and it is a little boring and a lot quiet! But it's also been busy too. Between school and adapting to the new lifestyle and exploring the area, I think we have only spent like 3 weekends at home doing 'nothing'. I've also been studying a lot more than I thought I would be. I have this crazy drive to get straight 'A's- nothing like a little internal pressure to prove something to myself.
Anyhow, yes it's been busy.
We saw Jewel a few weeks ago in Lancaster, PA- it was a super wonderful great solo show. There was a huge snowstorm that night too, but we braved it anyways. It was about an hour's drive each way. The theater actually turned out to be really nice. I'm been loving her blog at www.jeweljk.com and I am looking forward to her and Ty on Dancing with the Stars- I hope she rocks it and Ty doesn't embarrass himself!
I spent my first superbowl with crazy Steelers fans in a town called Pheonixville outside of Philly. I was an idiot and wore a pink shirt and khakis- everyone else was in Steelers gear.
Meanwhile, Matt has been in and outta town. He got a new project in South Carolina, so he will be going from here to there and to Illinois too.
Another favorite singer-songwriter Martin Sexton was in NYC on Valentines Day. That also turned out to be a wonderful fabulous show. It was at the Town Hall Theater which had that old time feel to it. He closed with America the Beautiful without a mic, just used the built in acoustics of the old Hall. It was also Fashion Week so we saw the white tents in Bryant Park. That was cool.
The cuz came to visit the last couple weeks. We did a supercalifragilistic trip to NYC for the weekend and stayed with a friend of hers. More to come on that soon...I've got pictures for that one!
I've also have begun the Tour de France excitement after the Tour of California brought back the boys into my life. I've become obsessed with following Lance on twitter. http://twitter.com/lancearmstrong It's a great way to kill time and follow my beau.
The weather has been up and down, warm and cold, to super cold. Snow then rain, ice then sunshine.
I have a test tonight, then an assignment due on Friday then it's SPRING BREAK. And we have a few things planned for the time off.
Honestly, I think we are having a lot of fun living here.
