Missing You...Missing Me

Missing someone is the worst feeling in the world, at least to me it is. It is like my heart is crying and my stomach is drowning in the tears. I smile, but it hurts inside with longing to be with them again. On the other hand, being missed is a really good feeling! Knowing that someone cares about you and misses you so much that it's just not the same without you. It feels good to know you make a difference to someone.
A simple doctors appointment this morning, turned my few hours late to work into almost all day. But of course I got to work as soon as I could, with Atlanta traffic it is so unpredictable! I was missed, they didn't say it, but they showed it. My eyes got dilated at the doctors appointment, so the guys turned the lights off for me. I missed lunch, they left me something to eat. It was very sweet really. I was gone one day last month when my back was bothering me, they still talk about that day I wasn't there. Everyone asked about me they said.
My friends and family back home in Alaska are missed dearly. Sometimes I get overwhelmed reading their emails, tears well up out of no where. Missing loved ones seems to have a physical reaction in me, and it feels so deep. Nothing makes my day like finding a quick line from a friend that they miss me and are thinking about me! I try to do the same and leave them notes too so they know I miss them.
