Out and Proud!

What great weather still! Yesterday I scored some free tickets to Chastain Park's Concert- Cindi Laupers' True Colors Tour. FAbuLOUS is really all I have to say. It was great weather, not to sticky and no bugs. Did I mention FREE tickets? And my friend Caitlin came with, so it was a perfect night. Probably the most fun Monday night EVER. It was a surprise to be there in the first place so we got a kick out of the host being that funny guy from "Queer Eye for The Straight Guy" show. Rosie O'Donnell came out and did her crude, gay humor standup thing- we were like 'Oh my god, there's Rosie!" Then the AMAZINGLY FABULOUS LOOKING FABULOUS B-52's did an AWESOME set- when they performed LOVE SHACK the entire crowd was on their feet dancin! Then when cute adorable Cindi Lauper did GIRLS JUST WANNA HAVE FUN again the crowd went wild. It was a Gay Pride tour, I think Gay Pride is this week? But the audience was *really* into the show so it made it extra fun. (Sorry the pictures aren't that great- it was a no camera's allowed show so I was sneaking pictures)
It was Caitlin's first concert in Atlanta and Chastain is amazing. I had a whole spread for our table- olives, chips/salsa/guacamole, 2 bottles of chilled wine and candles for the table. That's how you do Chastain-food, wine and candles. As the sky gets dark, the stage lights and all the candles on the audience's tables make a surreal atmosphere as the moon hangs overhead and the stars come out. The big dipper was right over us- the big dipper is Alaska's flag so it feels really special it a situation like Chastain. It's like I'm *exactly* where I need to be.
The last two days have been GREAT on the bike commuting. My legs are BACK and feeling better than ever. I guess I just needed that break. When I first starting riding to work it took me 50 minutes in the morning and about 90 minutes in the evening (traffic is bad ok). Today it took me 25 minutes on the way in, and I could of rode harder. I made it home effortlessly in 45 minutes. Rock on.
I felt so on cloud nine this evening. I took the boys out for about a 3.5 mile walk. We stopped in the Park on the way home and they posed for me.
What can I say, Petey loves the camera. And the walks. And the park. Ruff.
