MIA- TdF

I love how happy Christian looks while the other guys are all serious. Rock on man! He's riding the race of his life and having the time of his life!I've been a little absent on the blogging lately I know. It's probably the most exciting Tour de France since Lance won for the first time back in '99. I've been GLUED to the web searching out video clips, reading stats, and this year is new with all the rider's blogs out there. Just found Julian Dean's blog.... Today I caught up on Will Frishkorns blog, the entire thing. He is a support rider, but from what I've read he is a great guy and a pretty funny rider and very open on his blog about the inside going-ons. I also do not have a tv anymore so it's a bit of a challenge to watch every night. July is always a fun month, lots of excitement for me, as I take the entire month and make it a celebration!

In the meantime....I came down with a nasty sickness this week. I'd been too busy at work to take anytime off to recoop. This morning I went ahead and emailed in that I wasn't coming in today. Then I called my local doctor from Africa and got a 11 o'clock- which in his office that means around 12:30 if I persist at the front desk I'll get to see him. I rode my bike to the doctors office. About half way there I thought if any situation calls for driving this was probably it. The weather was good, sunny, breezy, not too hot, but my throat is so swollen that I'm getting full breaths, not to mention my body is just plain tired.

After the doctors office I rode over the Kroger to drop off my prescription which they said would take an hour. So I rode back home and took a nap and caught up on today's stage standings. I really needed to go get my prescription, but didn't want to walk it was too hot and my stomach is not feeling too good, and I didn't really want to ride. So I did something crazy. I drove to the store. I hated every second of it. It would have been a 20 minute bike trip, round trip. Waiting at the three stop lights in the car, it was like 30 minutes. Stupid. Lesson Learned.

I think I'm really sick.
