What if?
If you can make a city move by bicycle it will be a more human and equaltarian city. While cars separate people, bicycles bring us together making us a more integrated and friendly society.
Do you hate traffic? I do. And everyone I know here complains about it, but nothing changes. With Atlanta's traffic issues, and year round temperate weather one would think that our city planners would be planning better use of bicycles as viable transportation. I found this video on littlecircles - the video starts out slow for about 5 minutes so it's cool to skip ahead..it then shows us what bicycle heaven looks like. It makes so much sense - the planning for pedestrians and cyclist to be safe and the idea that everyone, even those without cars has a right to get around their city. It makes so much sense it is surreal and seems like a far fetched dream as I sit here in Atlanta watching this video. I'm thinking I should email this video to every Atlanta city planner that I can find an email for. And maybe the mayor and her ENTIRE staff. I'm pretty good with Internet research to find people. Maybe it could be a little seed? Maybe something could grow?
